A dedicated support inbox for BarcodesGenerator is being provisioned, and the address will be published on this page as soon as it is live. Corrections found through the review process described on the methodology page continue to be applied to every generator in the meantime.

Reporting a barcode issue

To help us reproduce and fix a suspected problem quickly, please include:

• The generator you were using (for example, "EAN-13") and the exact input you typed
• What the tool said — the check-digit readout, any validation message, or an error
• If a downloaded barcode failed to scan: whether it was the SVG or PNG, the printed size, and the scanner or app that rejected it
• Your browser and version, if the problem looks like a rendering issue

Confirmed issues are corrected in the verification layer and covered by a new automated test so they cannot recur silently. See the methodology page for how the check-digit layer and the renderer are kept honest. Because barcodes are generated entirely in your browser and your inputs never reach us, we cannot see what you typed unless you include it.

What we cannot help with

BarcodesGenerator cannot assign or license GS1 numbers — retail barcode numbers (EAN/UPC) come from GS1, and ISBNs come from your national ISBN agency. We also cannot certify that a printed barcode will scan on specific hardware; always test with your own scanner before production use.
